    Abstract

This paper describes the application in companies of a methodology for change in business processes. It will describe and reflect on the testing of the methodology, and report on the validation of the methodology through the use of action research. The methodology has been developed to be non-linear and non prescriptive, and this is where the strength and innovation of the research emerges. The methodology was tested by a series of practitioner workshops, case studies in companies (using a survey instrument) and practitioner assessments.
