    Abstract

Bast fibres like jute and flax have been studied as reinforcements in green composites. One of the important properties needs to be well understood is water immersion ageing and its effects on mechanical and nanomechanical properties. This is one of the first studies undertaken which demonstrates effective way of investigating the effect of water absorption on the properties. The effect of jute and flax reinforcement on thermal properties and comparison of experimental results with numerical modeling is targeted as our future investigation.
