Embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion across sport management education

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter (peer-reviewed)peer-review

Abstract

Diversity, equity, and inclusion should be a foundational element of all sport management education, not an optional add-on. This chapter provides a dedicated deep dive into inclusive teaching practices while reinforcing their integration across the curricula. Topics include culturally responsive pedagogy, inclusive language, representation in curricula materials, and strategies to support marginalised students. Case studies from sport management programmes that have successfully embedded DEI are presented alongside practical tools for self-assessment and change-making at both the course and programme level.
