Abstract
The final workshop of the European Commission, DG Research-funded, FP-6 STREP project SWIFT-WFD (Contract N° SSPI-CT-2003-502492) was held as a satellite of the main Lille-Water Framework Directive (WFD) Conference [1]. It was attended by 95 delegates representing 22 countries. This one-day meeting aimed to give an overview of the SWIFT-WFD (Screening Methods for Water Data Information in Support of the Implementation of the Water Framework Directive) project, share the results with policy makers and end users, and promote discussion of the potential for using the outputs from the project between the SWIFT-WFD partners and external participants.
