Abstract

Cemented joint fixation relies on mechanical interlocking between the bone and the cement. The role of cement penetration in improving the bonecement
strength is still unclear so far. The purpose of the current study is to examine the effect of cement penetration on the interfacial behaviour under compression, tension and shear.
