Abstract
This electroacoustic composition explores two themes. One is a technical exercise in extracting melodic data from errors in the digital analysis of residual noise. The second concept is the transforrmation of cultural perceptual responses to the sound of war machines. In this case the noise from the engine of a Hariier Jump Jet is used as a source to create references to the natural world in the form of artificial bird song. The work has a sybling artefact in the form of a blog article which explores the technical theme in depth. a link is provided below.
