N2 - The role and coverage of sport management education around the world has been a primary area of focus throughout this edited collection. This book has focused on innovation and current issues that impact the delivery of sport management education, alongside the practical realities affecting this provision in a shifting and dynamic environment. The role and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that sport management education has had to evolve rapidly in order to meet the changing needs of students. However, culture, religion, and politics have also helped to shape sport management provision in different countries and this chapter brings together and summarises some of these central points. The chapter focuses on the key topics discussed throughout the book and the unique contribution of these chapters and the content therein, with attention given to digital literacy, the case method approach, ePortfolios, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This final chapter also considers future directions for sport management education, how traditional settings for the delivery of education might change, and the opportunities that exist for sport management education practitioners.
