Abstract

Semantic data models are powerful conceptual modelling tools but they lack effective implementation mechanisms. Thus, fuzzy semantic data models are often mapped and implemented through relational or object-oriented database models. In a previous work, we have proposed a collection of mapping rules to map and implement the Fuzzy Semantic Model (FSM) as a Fuzzy Object- Relational database Model (FuzzORM). However, in such a work, only FSM schema mapping has been addressed. In this paper, we propose a middleware approach to map any FSM query into an equivalent query written in the object-relational query language SQL3.
