Abstract

A recent pre-covid-19 survey revealed that 78 percent of UK university students experience mild, moderate, or severe symptoms of distress. These symptoms do not help students learn or thrive and put them at risk of dropping out. At greatest risk were those who identified as being part of a gender or sexual minority.
