    Abstract

    Improvements in real time high level micro-computer control of an electric wheelchair are described. The system uses ultrasonic sensors and a micro-controller to assist a user in controlling the wheelchair. The output is used to assist the user in steering the vehicle. A veto is always left with the human user.
