Abstract
Summarises key features of the Arbitration Act 2001 of Bangladesh, including its provisions concerning arbitration agreements, the conduct of proceedings and the enforcement of foreign awards. Comments on the influence of the UNCITRAL Model Law for International Commercial Arbitration 1985 and the effect of the Act on the country's appeal as a venue for resolving international commercial disputes.
