Abstract

This report presents the findings of the impact evaluation of the microcredit programme implemented by Fundación de Apoyo Comunitario y Social del Ecuador (FACES) in partnership with Lendwithcare. The study forms part of a broader initiative to assess the impact of Lendwithcare-supported microfinance interventions across several countries, with the University of Portsmouth acting as the independent academic partner. Lendwithcare, a crowdfunding platform established by CARE International UK in 2010, enables individuals worldwide to fund small loans for entrepreneurs through local partners such as FACES—one of Ecuador’s leading NGOs in community-based microfinance.
