    Abstract

    The main objectives of this chapter are:
    -to highlight the importance of managing conflict in organizations, particulalry that which relates to employee grievances and disciplinary issues;
    - to investigate the rationale for, and content of, grievance and disciplinary procedures;
    - to explore the main ways in which grievance and disciplinary issues are handled by organizations;
    - to examine the main approaches used in resolving workplace disputes.
