Abstract
This paper evaluates the role of data in the context of total quality management and then considers the issues associated with the management of quality-related data so as to optimize its usefulness for quality monitoring and improvement in the organization from which it arises. Thereafter, a proposal for a corporate integrated quality management information system is described and evaluated. Finally, an example application is highlighted.
