    Abstract

Manoeuvre (2016) is a ten metre long relief print on fabric using the detritus and unwanted objects collected from the skips of the University of Gloucestershire Fine Art Degree show.

The University of Gloucestershire’s Arts Festival took place between 7th-9th June and provided opportunities for students and members of the public to attend happenings, workshops and talks during the Degree Show. Artists-in-residence Dana Ariel, Eleanor Morgan, Julia McKinlay, and Georgina Tate, aka Printers’ Symphony, proposed to make a large scale relief print using remnants from the Degree Show installation, pulling together wood, plasterboard, timber, and scraps of material to make a giant collograph surface. The work was printed outside onto fabric and fixed to the outside walls of campus buildings.

Collaborative workshops were open to students and members of the public on 8th June, 14:00-16:00 and 9th June, 11:00-13:00 at Hardwick campus.
