Abstract

Mobility of agents has been debated over the past few years. In this paper we try to answer questions such as: Does mobility of software agents represent the future of distributed computing technology? Is mobile agents’ technology just hype? What are mobile agents’ killer applications? Are there any limitations for mobile agents? Are the security problems of mobile agents unachievable or not? These questions and others are discussed in details in this paper. Our future vision as experienced researchers is the area is also presented.
