Myths of the MacArthur suite

Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

This essay interrogates the carefully cultivated public image of General Douglas MacArthur, supposed hero of the Pacific World War II. MacArthur dissembled about almost every aspect of his life and career, from his self-proclaimed liberation of The Philippines to his private life and military decision-making.
