Abstract

Pocket Data Mining (PDM) is our new term describing collaborative intelligent data analysis of streaming data in mobile and distributed computing environments. Advances in smartphone capabilities coupled with sheer amounts of data streams that are now available for subscription to be received on those phones, bring the potential of utiltising this data for decision making using advanced stream mining techniques. PDM has great potential in many important applications from telecare and telemedicine to mobile policing and disaster management. In this talk, we will explore application scenarios, and will discuss the building constructs of the technology. The talk will be concluded with a short video demonstrating the technology
