Abstract

This hands-on guide takes you through the basics of research in architectural practice. It explores how developing a research specialism can improve the quality of your projects, help define your brand, provide innovative services for clients and generate new sources of revenue.
The text is divided into four sections: commercial, cultural, social and technological research. Each includes a series of case studies written by practitioners explaining how research benefits their business, accompanied by an expert-led essay which sets these projects in their methodological context.
