Abstract

This paper addresses the problems with Quality of Service (QoS) in the dynamically changing nature of wireless networks, specifically in providing high and maintainable levels of QoSfor high demand multimedia applications. Providing an overview of current technologies and solutions to these issues with a particular focus on Mobiware - a middleware solution currently being researched at the Centre of Telecommunications Research, Columbia University, New York. This paper proposes a possible extension to Mobiware, a potential solution to providing guaranteed QoS in dynamic wireless networks for high demand multimedia content.
