Abstract
The paper investigates the conditions for reducing multidimensional relations in fuzzy control systems to two-dimensional ones. Some theoretical preliminaries, regarding this reduction, are given. A control algorithm, based on active reduction, is proposed and its efficiency with respect to on-line computations is evaluated. A numerical example is solved for illustration of the theoretical results. It is shown that the respective control law is simplified and thus real time control implementation is facilitated.
