    Abstract

Collapse post-immersion can occur for a variety of reasons including those caused by the delayed effects of drowning, a collapse of arterial pressure and the use of inappropriate rearming methodologies. In this chapter we discuss the deterioration in the condition of immersion and other victims that can occur around the time of rescue.
