Abstract
Drawing on secondary data sources, the Conservative Party's efforts to modernise its approach to employment relations matters are discussed and critically scrutinised. Policy innovations are likely to be undermined by their mutual inconsistency with pervasive neoliberal, Eurosceptic and anti-union values, indicating that on balance, any modernisation will be limited.
