Abstract
This project addresses ageing, a marginalised and diverse population within suicide research requiring a better understanding of individual experiences and pathways to suicide in later life. The project informs the development of assessment and interventions in the absence of these. We aim to maximise the impact of research through innovative dissemination findings based on the development of digital open access resources.
These will be used to engage with new and existing external collaborators by a) offering a standalone evidence-based programme of learning on suicide prevention tailored for health and social care professionals and practitioners working with diverse people in later life in different settings, and b) support an application for an externally funded programme research grant to develop, test and evaluate an evidence-based model of suicide prevention and intervention.
