Abstract
The integration of digital technologies and the shift towards active blended learning (ABL) have transformed the way higher education students engage with their studies. Established learning design frameworks such as ABC (Perović & Young, 2020), CAIeRO (Farmer & Usher, 2018; University of Northampton, 2017) and Carpe Diem (Armellini et at., 2009; Salmon et al., 2019 ) have provided invaluable structures to support this transformation, equipping course teams with strategies to create engaging and inclusive curricula. Emerging frameworks, such as enABLe, promise to further enhance this evolution by actively encouraging student-staff partnerships by involving students and employers in curriculum design workshops and pedagogic discussions.
