abstract = "Wide spread of network equipped devices tempted the researchers to direct their efforts towards developing new technologies and applications that contribute in enhancing data transmission over Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET). Routing technologies are considered the most challenging part in the ad hoc technology due to dynamic nature of wireless networks. These protocols affect the whole network performance. Many protocols and algorithms have been proposed for ad hoc networks. Each protocol has its own specs that affect its performance. For performance evaluation, throughput is one of the most important measurements. The simulation approach is used in this research to compare between two multipath ad hoc routing protocols, Optimized Linked State Routing (OLSR) and Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing (AOMDV). To get better results, traffic and mobility models should be as real as possible. Many mobility models are currently available such as Random Way Point, MANHATTAN, RPGM, Random Street, Random Walk, and Chain Model. These models symbolize nodes movements and determine the nodes' behaviour. This paper used two mobility models, MANHATTAN and RPGM models. In addition, traffic pattern is an important and decisive factor as it affects the whole performance of the ad hoc network. Three types of traffic models were used in this research, Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and Variable Bit Rate (VBR).",
