    Abstract

Spatio-temporal capabilities in GIS are increasing in importance for many applications. A spatio-temporal data model is proposed to support spatio-temporal changes occurring in real-world phenomena. Particular attention is given to modelling the semantics of time in an update process as well as defining a version management strategy.
