Abstract
Individual decision makers can now be aided by the use of a number of decision support systems. However, many decisions are taken by groups or committees. Such decision support systems do not translate very easily to this group decision setting, where recognition and understanding of differences of opinion within the group is a key issue. This article describes a group decision support system that helps decision making groups work more effectively and can provide outcomes in a shorter period of time.
