Abstract
Northern Ireland is rarely mentioned in the debate on the UK’s membership of the
European Union (EU). However, a potential Brexit will have a significant impact on the social and economic situation in the country. In this article, Edward Burke argues that politicians in Westminster and Stormont have failed to address the risks associated with the UK’s departure from the union. These may adversely affect the region’s prosperity and the delicate peace process.
