Wideband characterization of scattering channels

Abstract

A statistical method using a parametric spectral conversion of Singular Value Decomposition Prony is developed to provide better resolution in channel characterization. The method was used to analyze the transfer function of a transhorizon channel captured using a wideband channel sounder. The procedure for estimation of delay spectrum, delay spread and coherence bandwidth of the experimental channel is presented.
