Stakeholder management is instrumental in the success of a project and thus in the present study, different dimensions of stakeholder management were critically evaluated, in the context of a rainfall enhancement project in Oman. Embedded research design of mixed method study is followed by this research. The research follows pragmatic paradigm. The research is delimited to Oman rainfall project. Six critical success factors stakeholder identification, stakeholder dynamics, stakeholder analysis, stakeholder engagement, project success and stakeholder satisfaction are explored by the researcher through meta-analysis of the literature. Further these factors are divided in four independent and two dependent variables. The sample of the study follow purposive random sampling for the quantitative data collection and convenient sampling technique is used for qualitative determination of sample. Two instruments prepared by the researcher himself are prepared for data collection. A questionnaire and an interview protocol. 350 respondents were involved in quantitative data and 12 interviews were conducted by the researcher. The variables are tested in terms of relationship with each other by using required inferential statistics and thematic analysis. Researchers has presented a model for stakeholder management in Oman rainfall project as major contribution of this research, which may prove beneficial for stakeholder management of Oman rain fall project. As the model comprise of only six CSFs it makes the model applicable. The vast number of CSFs of stakeholder management presented in literature can prove very difficult for the stakeholder managers. The research also tends to fulfil the empirical gap in literature regarding stakeholder satisfaction and project success.
