PONToon (Partnership Opportunities using New Technologies fostering sOcial and ecOnomic inclusioN) is an Interreg 5A France (Channel) England research project running June 2017 – November 2020, led by the UoP’s Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries with no less than 11 UK and French project partners. The project employs digital technologies and creative practices to provide equal access to training and employment services. Even more brilliantly, PONToon is focused on female social inclusion, targeting those furthest from the labour market.
Throughout the day participants got the chance to experience a range of technology and hear from some fantastic experts in the fields of social inclusion, digital technology and employability. On offer were Motion Capture Tours, a Virtual Reality Experience, Interactive 3D Tilt Brush Demos, Performers and a Digital DJ.
