Activity: Talk or presentation types › Oral presentation
Malcolm Maciver (Speaker), 17 May 2017
The use of electronic digital devices form a major part of modern life. Since the onset of the digital age, concern has been raised on how these devices affect the function of the eyes and visual system. Over several years concerns have been raised over radiation exposure, eye strain, ocular surface damage, damage to the eye muscles, development of long-sightedness, development of short-sightedness and more recently blue light exposure. This session will look at the origin and development of digital related vision issues and will offer an overview of how these can be appropriately mitigated in day to day life.
