WHAT WE OFFER
Our Annual Research and Innovation event aims to bring together business partners and experts in Data Analysis and the Science of Better Decision Making to identify challenges in Logistics and Transport, Inventory Management and Forecasting, Renewable Energy, Reverse Logistics and Supply Chain, Maintenance and Reliability, and discuss potential collaborations with a view to improving decision making in business.
A breadth of research expertise and experience
The Centre brings together multidisciplinary expertise on the Science of Data and the Science of Decision Making from across the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Business and Law and the Institute of Industrial Research at the University of Portsmouth. Members of the Centre provide a broad coverage of the field of Operational Research and Quantitative Logistics whilst strengthening several of the subfields. This ensures CORL furthers its reputation as a centre of international expertise in these areas.
Our research themes and application areas
Our members have an excellent track record in the delivery of knowledge transfer partnerships. We commit to continue to develop strong collaborative links with other institutions and organizations in public and private sector to improve the economic prosperity of the region through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills.
Postgraduate courses and research opportunities
CORL specialises in the teaching of postgraduates, offering students the opportunity to access the teaching expertise and specialist resources developed over many years by members of the Centre and the knowledge gained from cutting edge research in the field of Operational Research and Logistics.
