Ali Can



I am currently a second year PhD student in the Department of Marketing and Sales. My thesis is about exploring the effects of collaborative marketing on consumer behaviour. I obtained my MBA degree from the University of Wolverhampton. I have more than 16 years industry experience in various positions at the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and more recently, as the director of Turkish Tourism Board in London. I have produced a few publications and several papers submitted to international conferences. I am also co-author of one book on ecotourism.


I am teaching seminar classes for the Marketing Principle and Practices unit at present.


My research interests lie primarily in the areas of destination branding, digital marketing, collaborative advertising, and tourism sustainability based on a quantitative approach.
