Summary

I'm a senior lecturer in psychology, with expertise in social psychology and an interest in forensic psychology.

Biography

I came to the UK in 2010 to study psychology at the University of Essex, where I graduated from in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) Psychology. I was fortunate enough to be awarded an ESRC 1+3 scholarship, which allowed me to continue my studies at the University of Essex, where I completed an MSc Research Methods in Psychology (2014) and a PhD in Psychology (2017).

After 10 months of working as a Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex, I joined the University of Portsmouth in June 2018 as a Lecturer in Psychology.

Teaching Responsibilities

I currently teach on a variety of topics, on modules such as Exploring Psychology, Forensic Psychology in Context, Social and Developmental Psychology and Perspectives on Legal and Forensic Psychology. I also supervise final year project students from both BSc Psychology and BSc Forensic Psychology, as well as MSc Forensic Psychology students.

I am the module coordinator for Exploring Psychology, a Level 4, 40-credits module. My other roles include Year 1 Tutor and Participant Pool coordinator.

Research Interests

I am a member of the International Centre for Research in Forensic Psychology (ICRFP) within the Department of Psychology. My research interests include social psychology (in particular impression formation and judgement and decision making) and forensic psychology (in particular perceptions of victims and offenders based on appearance).
