Biography

I joined the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies as a Lecturer in 2014. I teach across all levels of Full Time Undergraduate (FTUG), Distance Learning (DL) and Post Graduate (PG) study. My research interests surround prisons, desistance, working with female offenders and psychology. My current PhD follows on from work conducted for my MSc, which is looking at the role of peer mentoring in the rehabilitation of female offenders at HMP Holloway and the impact it has on the prison regime.

I am currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Portsmouth, where my research topic is focusing on the role of peer supporting at HMP Holloway, examining its impact on the prison regime and rehabilitation of female offenders.
