Summary
My expertise lies in action learning, a method for individual and organisational development. I am co-editor of the journal Action Learning: Research and Practice and chair its conference committee. I am interested in how people can learn from and with each other in the workplace.

Biography
I am an experienced senior manager and trainer, having previously worked in the NHS, the third sector and as an independent training and development consultant prior to moving into higher education. I completed my PhD in management learning at the University of Lancaster in August 2010. My thesis was on the development and practice of action learning in the NHS. I am co-editor of the journal Action Learning: Research and Practice.
Research Interests
Current research is focused on the application of action learning in the UK and around the world with a particular emphasis on action learning in HE . My most recent published work involved looking at the facilitation of action learning facilitators in China.

Teaching Responsibilities
I am module co-ordinator for, and teach on the following: Research Skills for the HR Professional, Human Resource Development and two Work Based Learning Degree Apprenticeship modules.
