Dr Joanne Brindley
Academic Professional Apprenticeship Course Leader
I became involved in dental education in 2006, following a successful career working for the community and hospital dental services. In 2009 I completed a PG Cert in Learning and Teaching which explored the use of synchronous and asynchronous learning in Higher Education. This was swiftly followed by the completion of a MA in Learning and Teaching, which explored the use of eportfoilos to capture the student learning journey.
I began my Professional Doctoral Studies in 2012. My thesis research project was an illuminative evaluation into the use and relevance of reflective practice in primary care dental education and real-world practice.
