Biography

I gained my MSc and PhD at University College London, researching within the field of Translational Neuroscience, investigating sensorimotor integration and neural adaptation to injury in chronic partial nerve lesions during movement. My current research is a collaborative project, examining the interaction of external / internal environmental factors upon neural processing in order to understand the effect of the environment upon human behaviour. Our research aims to inform the design / development of the environment in order to promote healthy living in urban / cultural environments.

From a clinical perspective, I am a registered Clinical Physiologist in Clinical Neurophysiology, specialising in electroencephalography, sleep physiology, peripheral neurophysiology and evoked potentials.

In my role as Senior Lecturer in Physiology, I am responsible for providing systems physiology teaching, learning and assessment to professional and non-professional undergraduate and post-graduate level students across the Faculty of Science and supervising MSc, MRes, Prof Doc & PhD students.
