Dr Mark Youngman
Mark is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations. He teaches on a range of undergraduate modules within the department, specialising in Russia/Eurasia, insurgency and terrorism, and social movements.
My research has focused on the insurgency that operates in Russia's North Caucasus, examining questions of ideological variance and change and the relationship between ideology, internal movement dynamics, and political environments. My research interests include Russian and Eurasian politics, terrorism and insurgency, violent and non-violent social movements, and gender.
