Dr Murad Banaji
After completing my PhD at Queen Mary, University of London, in 2001, I held postdoctoral positions at University College London and at the University of Essex before joining Portsmouth in 2010. My main research interests are in the qualitative theory of nonlinear dynamical systems, and I am a member of the Nonlinear and Complex Systems Research Group.
I am particularly interested in using combinatorial and analytical techniques to make claims about allowed dynamics in classes of systems based primarily on structural properties of the systems. Such techniques find wide application in biology and chemistry.
