Senior Teaching Fellow
I am a qualified (non-practising) solicitor in two jurisdictions. I joined this university as a teaching fellow in 2015. I previously worked as a solicitor in private practice in Portsmouth in the area of private client and prior to that for the Legal Aid Board in Ireland in the area of child protection and family law. During 2014, I was part of a research project undertaken by the Irish Human Rights & Equality Commission [IHREC] into Direct Provision of asylum seekers and delays in the Irish asylum system. I also lectured in Griffith College Cork, Ireland and am a graduate of University College Cork, Ireland.
I am the sole lecturer in Public international law, Legal Writing and Research and Jurisprudence. I also co-lecturer in Family and Child Law. I am part of the team that delivers Legal projects. I am also a seminar tutor in Public Law. Additionally, I have dissertation supervision and PhD supervision duties.
I provide staff support to the Student Union Law Society and also act as personal tutor to undergraduate students.
