Miss Veronika Poniscjakova
I am a Teaching Fellow for the Strategy Enterprise and Innovation (SEI) subject group in the Faculty of Business and Law based at Royal Air Force (RAF) College, Cranwell.
I joined the RAF College academic team in May 2019, having previously taught at the University of Nottingham. As a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Nottingham I taught modules such as “the War in Iraq” and “Political Theory: From Ancient to Modern”.
I recently passed my viva at the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, and my thesis focused on the role of counter-culture in Israel.
My doctoral research extended a theoretical framework developed by Pedahzur and Perliger on counter-culture. The aim of this PhD project was to understand how living in counter-culture influences communities; to find out these communities’ characteristics and their attitudes towards political developments and their responses towards crises of political and religious nature.
I am currently working a monograph, based on my PhD thesis.
My research interests include:
- civil disobedience;
- political violence;
- politics and international relations of the Middle East;
- Arab-Israeli conflict;
- right-wing political ideology.
I am happy to take calls and emails from the media on my research, and am aware of the needs to respond to journalists in a timely manner. Please contact me directly on either firstname.lastname@example.org or 01400 266245.
I will be teaching on both the Initial Officer Training Course and the Masters’ Level Senior Officers Study Programme.
