Decolonising the Curriculum Competition
Prize: Prize (including medals and awards)
- Mr Guido Robazza (Recipient), Dr Matt Smith (Recipient) & Dr Jacqueline Priego-Hernandez (Recipient)
DCQE and UPSU are partnering to launch a competition to collect evidence of existing practice or the development of new ideas that correspond to the idea of decolonising the curriculum.
The panel felt this was an excellent example of decolonisation practice. They particularly praised the great sense of inclusivity displayed in the work coupled with its visibility and striking physical appearance. There were positive comments about the way in which it speaks to the ownership of the urban landscape and how this can be contentious and challenged.
