Investigation of non-invasive feedback in prosthetic limbs
Humans control their body through use of feedback, they know where their limbs are in space and if they are in contact with an object. Prosthetic limbs do not possess sensations that are fed back to the operator and while it is commonly contended that this would improve control of a prosthesis, it has not been demonstrated that feedback adds functional advantages to the operator. This project uses different techniques to determine if this is true.
