Men's Career Trajectories in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)

This research will be carried out by an international consortium of 18 researchers, from 13 countries, ranging from China, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Israel, Europe and the United States. The project aims to identify factors which contribute to men’s decisions to remain in and exit out of the ECEC profession, to study the commonalities and differences in men’s career trajectories across cultures, and to suggest remedies for reducing dropout and increasing work longevity in ECEC for male educators.
