A demonstration of establishing a 3D CFD model to investigate wind flows behind a porous fence
Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution
Numerical simulation plays an important part in wind engineering study over last two decades. The paper presents a demonstration on how to establish a 3D CFD model to investigate wind flow behaviors behind a porous fence, and the numerical simulation results are also presented. The model can easily change its geometric parameters to define fence size, its porosity & distribution, pore size & shape, and wind attack angles etc. By employing different simulation models, the model is suitable for single or multiphase flow.
