Bangladesh: the Arbitration Act 2001 - some reflections

In this article, the author discusses the salient features of the Arbitration Act 2001 of Bangladesh and suggests a number of improvements to this legislation. A number of suggestions are made as to steps that could be taken to promote international arbitration and ADR culture, education and training in Bangladesh through the joint efforts of the Government, judges, lawyers and other professionals and arbitration institutes.
