Charities need quality too: introducing the business excellence model to the UK voluntary sector
Research output: Contribution to conference › Paper › peer-review
The Business Excellence Model, and self assessment against it, are accepted by blue chip companies across the UK as the structured way of working on total quality. In 1995 the model was launched in the UK charity world, with the assumption that they are also applicable and of value to voluntary sector organisations (VSOs). This paper describes the development of the Business Excellence Model and self assessment, a programme to test the applicability of the model and self assessment techniques within the UK voluntary sector and key issues of this research so far.
